The Rosemount Splash Pad at Central Park opened in July 2014. A splash pad is an aquatic park that has little or no standing water. The Central Park splash pad is approximately 3,700 square feet in size and has a variety of ground nozzles that spray water upwards out of the splash pad's rain deck. It also has a moving water feature, the Water Journey, which allows smaller children to play in and direct water as it flows through a maze.

The splash pad’s water features are controlled by hand or foot activators and run for a limited time. Once the water features shut off, they can immediately be turned on again by touching the activators. In this way, water is used only while someone is at the park using the splash pad. The rain deck of our splash pad is made up of textured non-slip concrete.

The splash pad is beautifully landscaped and provides lots of seating for those who wish to enjoy it without getting wet. There is also a new 30’ x 30’ covered shelter with picnic tables and a drinking fountain at the site.
