Rosemount Announces New Interactive Website

AI-powered solution includes automated web and text features residents can access 24/7

Rosemount, MN

The City of Rosemount is pleased to announce that it has launched its new website as of July 15. The city partnered with multiple companies to create a more interactive site that can help residents get the information they want around the clock.

The website,, just underwent a four-month redesign process with CivicPlus, a leading government website provider. The website now has improved functionality as well as a cleaner, easier layout for citizens to navigate.

Citizens will be able to communicate more effectively with their local government through some of the new featured modules:

  • Citibot: An accessible web chat assistant allows residents to find information, submit service requests, or send a message to staff. This tool can be accessed on the website or by texting the word HELLO to 866-283-RSMT (7768).
  • CivicRec: This new online registration tool allows citizens to create an account, register for events and activities, and be notified of updates quickly and easily.
  • Notify Me: Sign up for general News Flash updates or choose specific topics such as Events from Parks & Rec or Weekly Updates from Police.
  • Report Issues: This interactive tool allows citizens to report any non-emergency issue such as graffiti, potholes, trail maintenance, broken utilities and much more. You can even upload a photo from your mobile phone.

With the new website the City of Rosemount will be able to increase its community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and the local government.

“Connecting and Engaging with the Community is one of the four pillars of the City’s strategic plan,” said City Administrator, Logan Martin. “The work to make our website more accessible, interactive, effective, and fun is in perfect alignment with that vision and we are proud of the result.”

The new web assistant, a cheeky Leprechaun, was launched in partnership with Citibot, the leading provider of interactive chat solutions for local government. Rosemount is the first municipality in the state to implement this customer service technology for its residents

“Thousands of people use our website each month to find information,” said Councilmember Paul Essler. “We’re all busy and need to get answers quickly. Adding a text option and ensuring this tool can serve our residents around the clock is a priority.”

Based in Charleston, SC, Citibot LLC was formed in 2016 with a mission of making cities and counties accessible for all. Bratton Riley, Citibot’s co-founder and CEO, was inspired by the evolution of the conversational chatbot and its ability to help governments be more accessible and accountable to every resident.

“People’s expectations of high-quality customer service are ever-increasing,” said Riley. “Cities like Rosemount are leading the way by delivering powerful solutions to maximize efficiency and enhance access to information and vital services.”
