See the people and equipment that keep you safe

Come out to Central Park next Thursday for the annual Public Safety in the Park event. Law enforcement and rescue agencies will display the specialized vehicles and equipment they use in their jobs and will welcome your questions. Hot dogs will be served. The event runs 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of City Hall.

Free movie tomorrow night at the amphitheater

The first of the summer’s free movies in Central Park is scheduled for tomorrow night. Frankly, at the moment the weather looks iffy, so please check before you head out by phoning the activities line, 651-322-6020, option #6. If it’s dry enough, the PG movie “Smallfoot” will start at dusk at the amphitheater. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

Coffee with the Council moves to the parks

City Council members are taking advantage of the warmer weather to move the Coffee with the Council sessions to Rosemount’s parks this summer. Council members will be available for informal chats about issues affecting the community. They welcome your questions and ideas. The first outing for Council in the Parks will be Tuesday, June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. near the splash pad in Central Park.
